Our Keith YMCA is looking for volunteers to help in our Adaptive Swimming Progam. These programs serve individuals with disabilities and offer them inclusive ways of getting involved in programs. Volunteers will assist the swim instructor (in the water) with the program participants. The volunteer will engage with the participants while ensuring their safety during the swim lesson.
Please note, all volunteers must fully complete all training videos and have their reference checks and background check verified before they may begin their volunteer work at the YMCA. Volunteer backgrounds can take up to 1-2 weeks to return complete. If you have questions on this, please contact us at volunteer@ymcacharlotte.org.
All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to not be counted as an absence for your volunteer service.
