YMCA Camp Boomerang is an immersive summer day camp for children with diverse abilities held at our YMCA Hemby Center. Volunteers at our Camp Boomerang will assist help create a fun, safe and inclusive environment for campers of all abilities. They will assist with a variety of camp activities, including arts and crafts, sports, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises. Volunteers may also support campers with diverse needs, ensuring they are engaged and included in all aspects of the camp experience. Their role is essential for fostering a positive and enriching atmosphere where every child can grow in confidence, make new friends and enjoy the magic of summer camp at the Y. ***PLEASE NOTE - This program takes place at the Hemby Program Center. To become a Camp Boomerang volunteer this summer, please fill out a Volunteer Application at: https://form.jotform.com/braceymca/2025boomerangvolapp. Once you are approved, you will then sign up for your in-person orientation and complete your volunteer requirements online including a background screening and Child Abuse Prevention training prior to the orientation.
