Childress Klein YMCA
Make your footprints count and join us for Charlotte’s oldest road race, the 46th Annual Corporate Cup 5K, Relay Half Marathon, Half Marathon, & Fun Run! Kicking off the YMCA Race Series for 2024, this fundraiser is the YMCA of Greater Charlotte’s largest road race with almost 2,500 runners in 2024. With the community’s support, the race raises funds for the Y’s Better Us Campaign, enabling the Y to offer programs and services that nurture the potential of kids and teens, promote healthy living, foster a sense of social responsibility and strengthen the foundations of community. The race starts and finishes at Truist Field in Uptown Charlotte and is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels – beginner to expert – with a 5K, half marathon, half marathon relay and a fun run. Join us for a festive day of fun, fitness, and community spirit a the Harris YMCA Krueger Reindeer Romp! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this holiday-themed event a success. Volunteers are needed for a variety of roles throughout the morning, including course monitors, water station helpers, kids obstacle course assistance and more. The Lake Norman Y is looking for some outstanding volunteers to assist with various projects and events around the Y. Workday projects could include projects such as helping to prepare our campus for seasonal programs, planting garden beds, touching up paint or building picnic tables. Event projects include support for onsite community events like Live at the Lake, Community Days, Member Appreciation Days, and much more.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dependable volunteers to assist with a variety of roles at our Annual YMCA MLK Breakfast. Volunteers will help make the event a success by serving as greeters, ushers, stage assistants, and supporting setup and cleanup efforts. Tasks include: Greeters & Ushers: Welcome guests, direct attendees to their seats, and assist with event flow. Stage Assistants: Help with stage setup, ensure speakers and performers have what they need, and assist with transitions. Setup & Cleanup: Assist in preparing the venue before the event and help clean up afterward. Volunteers will be an integral part of creating a smooth and welcoming experience for all attendees. Run! Ballantyne celebrates healthy competition while giving back to the community. The race benefits the YMCA Annual Campaign and kids in need. Your participation supports life-changing Y programs that inspire young potential and promote academic success. Association Office – Social Responsibility
The YMCA of Greater Charlotte, in partnership with Nourish Up, is dedicated to addressing food insecurity in our community through Pop-up Food Share events. These events are an opportunity to make a tangible impact by helping distribute food to families in need. Event Overview: At each Pop-up Food Share, volunteers will assist with organizing and distributing food to local families in a drive-thru format. Volunteers will help with: Unpacking large food donations Sorting and packaging food into individual boxes Handing out food to cars as they pass through the line Event Details: Locations: Various YMCA centers across the region Days/Times: Monday's from 10 a.m. to Noon Duration: Shifts are 2 hours long Activity: Volunteers will help setup the pop-up food share and build the boxes of food to be distributed to families through the drive thru line. Ideal Volunteer Groups: Groups of 15 or fewer volunteers are ideal for these events. This is a great team-building opportunity, perfect for corporate groups, community organizations, or family teams.
